Country in the Country 20110821

It's Country in the Country for Sunday, August 21st, 2011, the last show of the Season!

You know what they say, "You can take Yossi out of the Country, but you can't take the Country out of Yossi!" As he loads up the CountryMobile and prepares to bid the Catskills a fond farewell, Country is lightening his load by giving away Grand Prizes like they were candy! In fact, candy is about the only thing he isn't giving away!

And of course, no show would be complete without a visit from Rabbi Chaim Prussman and the Beth Shifra report, the latest news from Israel with Dov Shurin, and the pious thoughts of Rabbi Moshe Meir Weiss.

Can the mishpuchas of the Mountains live without The Country in the Country show until next Summer? Who knows! But we do know they don't have to, because we'll be podcasting The Country Yossi Show from the City right here at this address during the intervening months. When will that start? Tuesdays from 8:00-9:00 pm ET starting September 6th! Subscribe to the podcast (find instructions elsewhere on this page) so you won't miss a minute, unless we do!

It's Country in the Country for Sunday, August 14th, 2011.

It's the penultimate show of the Summer! Not only that, but it's also the second-to-last! This week Grand Prizes are flying off the shelves like they're going out of style!

What's the latest with Beth Shifra? Rabbi Chaim Prussman fills us in with the Beth Shifra report. And it wouldn't be a show without the wit and wisdom of Rabbi Moshe Meir Weiss.

And Yossi gives a special shout out to 8th Day, who just released a cool music video of their hit YA'ALILI.

Joins us next week for the last Country in the Country of the season, won't you?

It's Country in the Country for erev Tisha b'Av, Sunday, August 7, 2011!

Ane you thought you had a big day! Country Yossi awarded a free two-year lease from Wheels To Lease to one lucky listener! On hand to do the honors was up-and-coming recording artist Moshe Hecht!

And the winning didn't stop there (even though a huge angry mob raided the Thunder 102 studios looking for the main power switch). The phone lines were chock full of Grand Prize winners!

And don't miss the show's favorite pair of Rabbanim: Rabbi Chaim Prussman with the Beth Shifra report, and Rabbi Moshe Meir Weiss joining Country to start the week off with wisdom!

Have an easy fast, and join us next week!
